How can entrepreneurship education better respond to the sustainability challenge?
An upcoming online workshop from the University of Galway will explore exactly that.
📢 Enhancing Entrepreneurship Education for Sustainable Development
🗓️ 25th March
💻 Online
📍 University of Galway, Ireland
This practical workshop is aimed at university educators who want to integrate sustainable development and entrepreneurial thinking more effectively in their teaching.
✨ The session will focus on how established frameworks and competency-based approaches can help educators strengthen sustainable entrepreneurship education in meaningful and practical ways. Participants will come away with ideas for module design, programme development, and learning activities that connect sustainability with entrepreneurial learning.
🔎 The workshop features three key themes:
🌱 Sustainable Development Competences – Dr Alma Clavin
Explore how to map your module or programme to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and embed sustainability competences in curriculum design.
💡 Entrepreneurial Thinking – Dr Rachel Hilliard
Consider how sustainable development and entrepreneurial competences can be integrated, and how experiential learning can be built around sustainability challenges.
🧠 Inner Development Goals – Dr Johanna Clancy
An introduction to the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) and their role in helping students develop the inner capacities needed to navigate complexity, change, and transformation.
This will be of particular interest to colleagues working in entrepreneurship education, higher education pedagogy, curriculum innovation, and education for sustainable development.
